Because of the HOPE Grant that is funded by the Georgia Lottery, students enrolled in any diploma or certificate program at Pickens Tech can come to school FREE. The Director of Financial Aid assists students in finding ways to finance their education through: HOPE Grants, Pell Grants, Georgia Students Incentive Grants, Veteran Benefits, Work Study programs, Job Training Partnership Act, and Post secondary Options.

     Industry specific training courses may be customized to meet a company's specific training needs and may be offered at the company location or at the Pickens Tech campus. Courses may be skill oriented such as welding, blueprint reading, computerized drafting, etc. Courses may include productivity and supervisory training, and other programs which assist companies implementing Word Class Manufacturing.

     Specialized training courses, such as Programmable Logic Controllers, preventive maintenance, hydraulics and pneumatics, and safety training are also available. Employers with training needs in a specific area may send employees to existing courses on campus day or evening. These employees may take a specific job related portion of a curriculum.
